Who I am
-
Truth-seeking and curiousGood epistemics matter to me. I research questions after conversations and come back with what I found — and I want us to do that for each other.
-
Direct and honestI say what I mean and value clear communication.
-
AffectionateI love cuddling and physical closeness.
-
Impact-orientedCommitted to effective altruism since 2012 (took the GWWC pledge in 2019).
-
Cautiously optimistic about AII think AI will transform the world soon. That shapes my work — and makes me want a partner and family to experience it with.
-
Extroverted on balanceI go to professional events in DC and enjoy meeting people, though I also love cozy time at home with my partner.
-
Thoughtful about decisionsI like optimizing choices with data and analysis.
-
Politically liberalDare I say neoliberal? (was once in the shill bracket)
-
Animal-lovingGrew up with cats and dogs, had a cat in an earlier relationship, frequently dogsit a friend's pomsky in DC. Would like to get a dog in the next year or so (first project with a partner??).
What I do
I build open models of how policy affects people. I founded and run PolicyEngine, a nonprofit whose free software computes what any tax or benefit change does to any household — used by governments and researchers in the US and UK — and this month I launched a second institute, the Axiom Foundation, publishing the law itself as open, verified code. I also wrote a book, Society in Silico, about what happens when we can simulate the society we're choosing.
I'm passionate about the mission and feel extremely lucky professionally. Work has me traveling 1-2x a month and at events 1-2 evenings per week; the rest of my schedule is flexible, and I make time for what matters.

Health & longevity
I love life and health and am trying to keep them as long as I can.
- Exercise every morning (resting heart rate: 41)
- Sleep first — in bed early, up by 6
- Eat Bryan Johnson's Blueprint at home (the food below is real)
- Plant-based at home, pescatarian out
- Don't drink, smoke, or use drugs — fine if you do, except cigarettes
- Track sleep, labs, and workouts — and act on the data

What I'm looking for
I want someone who wants kids, is kind and emotionally mature, and has work they feel makes a positive impact on the world.
I value learning from my partner - not just in side conversations, but being genuinely inspired by and curious about your work, and having you be curious about mine. I want us to teach each other about the world.
I have a big moral circle and hope you do too - I care about the wellbeing of humans, animals, and future beings.
If you're a woman around 30-42 and this resonates, let's talk.
A few more things
-
Mostly car-free — no car, minimal Uber. I get around on Capital Bikeshare (was once a top 10 Bike Angel!), Veo scooters, and walking. Looking forward to Waymo's DC launch, though.
-
I support Israel in its war against Hamas. Disagreement isn't a dealbreaker for me, but it has been for others — better to know now.
-
I learn from and engage with the economic policy, EA, AI, and YIMBY communities on X, and sometimes slip into memery.
